I am an organizational consultant, trauma-informed career coach, and healing justice practitioner. I help organizations, businesses, and individuals create inclusive, person-centered workplaces and lives.

Organizations:

I specialize in consulting, training, curriculum development, & holistic workshops that center on the needs of BIPOC communities, especially Women of Color, First-Generation Immigrants/Graduates, Survivors of violence, Nonprofit leaders, & Educators.

Individuals:

I have helped people navigate: salary negotiations, interview preparations, processing & healing from workplace trauma/toxic workplaces/racist workplaces, career preparation for women of color & first-generation immigrants who are new to the workforce.

My specialty and passion is uplifting BIPOC, Asian and Pacific Islander, Queer, First-Generation, and femme/women folks throughout my work.

Hi! I’m Yoo-Jin.

My Values & Approach.

  • Equity at the Center- I believe that all social causes are connected and prioritize equity in diversity, equity, and inclusion as the core of my approach.

  • Healing Justice- I integrate trauma-informed care principles and mind-body medicine techniques in my planning, consulting, and facilitation.

  • People-Centered- I create intentional spaces for people to show up as their full selves. I practice people > agenda.

  • Interdependence- I deeply believe that my liberation is connected with yours. I utilize the power of peer learning & community to further equity work.

  • Accountability- I commit to acknowledging my mistakes, learning from them, and working to change behaviors that are harmful. I integrate a restorative justice approach within my work and strive to create spaces where people can make mistakes and be held accountable without being thrown away.

  • "Yoo-Jin's training on Healing as Resistance was so informative and I was impressed with how quickly she was able to turn an online Zoom-session into a safe place for me and my colleagues to work through terminology and concepts that speak to our lived experiences. She has an engaging and welcoming presence and I look forward to more opportunities to learn from her."

  • “I really appreciated having you as the facilitator in this training, Yoo-Jin. It was nice going into the space already knowing everyone and having the facilitator knowing our direct needs. I can honestly say I learned more from this training that I have any of the other DEI-related trainings we have had recently. The pre-work article was also really eye-opening and something I continue to refer back to.”

  • "Yoo-Jin created and led a workshop for our barre instructors after a discussion about our plans to bring back hands-on adjustments for in-studio clients for the first time since 2020. The workshop was engaging, inclusive, and powerful. I highly recommend working with Yoo-Jin and fully intend to have all of our future instructors go through training with her as well."

  • "Thank you so much for sharing your time and insights in our Closing Session today, Yoo-Jin! From the powerful data to your calming presence, it was a wonderful way to end the Conference. I learned a lot and resonated with much of what you shared. I am so grateful for this conversation on recognizing and healing through secondary trauma and burnout in the corporate space."

    Staff Conference Participant

  • “Yoo-Jin’s perspective on prevention helped us better understand how underage drinking prevention intersects with messages around wellness, which resonates more with college students. Her insights…provided us with a fresh perspective on the way the program is branded and promoted."
